Abstract: The annual game programming competition also known as the CodeCup offers an environment for a set of programming problems that are only partial algorithmic. After an introduction of the competition and its history and development, I will point out some of the interesting topics that arose in these competitions. Of course we have a list of wishes for the future of our competition. At the end of this paper I will present some of the questions that are still open using these kinds of programming tasks.
